Threat model

Short definition

Specify what you protect, from whom, and under which constraints.

Concrete example

Alice wants to hide her number from Bob; another person refuses a number even at the service. Their choices differ.

What it protects

Makes comparisons and configuration conditions useful.

What it does not protect

It is neither a guarantee nor a global score replacing unknowns.

Why it matters

Two users can have different good choices without contradiction.

Technical details

TM1–TM15 distinguish provider, network, peer, authorities, devices, supply chain and censorship; each cell is relative and conditional.
